Topic: Photosynthesis and the cycling of matter and flow of energy (MS-LS1-6). Adjust the settings, then copy the prompt.

Paste the lesson plan the AI gives you, check it, then print. It prints black on white with no menus or buttons, and the student handout starts on its own page.
Planning notes for this lesson
Prerequisite skills to check: plants get the materials they need for growth chiefly from air and water (5-LS1-1); energy in animals' food was once energy from the sun (5-PS3-1); movement of matter among plants, animals, decomposers and the environment (5-LS2-1); cells as the basic unit of living things (MS-LS1-1).
Warm-up idea: Show a photo of a huge oak tree and a tiny acorn. Ask: the tree weighs tons more than the acorn did. Where did all that mass come from: the soil, the water, the air or the sun? Have students commit to an answer before the lesson.
Exit ticket idea: Students complete a diagram of a leaf with arrows for carbon dioxide, water, light energy, sugar and oxygen, then write a claim-evidence-reasoning paragraph explaining where a plant's added mass comes from and how the sun's energy ends up in an animal that eats the plant.
Always check the AI's plan and answers before you teach.
