What it does

Teachers import student writing (Google Classroom, Docs, PDFs, Canvas and more), set a rubric, and train EnlightenAI by grading about five submissions together. The AI then drafts grades and feedback for the rest so the teacher can review and edit before anything is final. Students can also get on-demand AI feedback on a shared link and revise. The product adds class and student insights, grouping for reteach, inline feedback in writing, and AI-generated follow-up resources. Vendor FAQ states it does not train AI models on user data and lists FERPA and COPPA compliance.

Best for

Grades 3-12 teachers who grade a lot of written work and want rubric-aligned first-pass scoring plus student revision feedback, and schools that want roster sync with Google Classroom or Canvas.

Limitation

Does not grade handwritten, scanned or photographed work (typed digital submissions only, per vendor help). Teachers should review every AI score before it is final. School IT setup is required for Canvas roster sync.
