What it does

Knowt is an all-in-one AI learning platform for schools. Teachers create flashcards, notes, formative assessments with auto-grading, live games (Knowt Play), and monitored 1:1 chat tutors from uploaded files, lecture recordings, YouTube, Quizlet, Wayground or Kahoot imports. A Chrome extension helps import sets. Students can study with Learn mode, spaced repetition, practice tests, match games and podcasts. Vendor pages emphasize incident monitoring for inappropriate language in chats, DPAs for schools, and SSO/rostering with Google, Microsoft, Clever and ClassLink.

Grades 3-12 teachers who want free classroom AI for flashcards, quizzes and monitored student chat tutors, and schools consolidating Quizlet-style study tools with assessment analytics.

Free for individual teachers: up to 20 files total, unlimited AI and incident monitoring on teacher-shared files, public/org sharing, classes with unlimited students (per help.knowt.com free-plan article, checked 2026-11-07). Limitation

Free plan caps file creation at 20 materials total (not per month). Ultra features such as private/password files, locking study restrictions, Google Classroom sync, LockDown Browser and multiple podcasts per set require Ultra or a school license. Students do not inherit Ultra from their teacher.
