Padlet
Collaborative boards and sandboxes for class discussion, exit tickets and gallery walks, with AI recipes that draft a starter board.
- What it does
- Padlet lets teachers make shared boards (columns, wall, grid, timeline, map and more) and sandboxes where students post text, images, links, audio and video. Teacher accounts can use AI recipes to generate a starting padlet from a description, with recipes for discussion boards, lesson plans, rubrics and class activities that take inputs such as grade, topic and subject. Padlet says the AI output is a starting point to edit, and that only the text you type into the recipe is sent to its third-party AI provider.
- Best for
- Teachers who want a quick shared space for warm-ups, exit tickets, brainstorming or a gallery walk, and a fast first draft of a discussion board.
- Price
- Free plan with up to 3 padlets and 20 MB uploads. Platinum (one user, unlimited padlets) is USD 15/month or USD 120/year. Classroom is USD 160/year for 2 teachers with 100 free student accounts. School & District starts at USD 1,200/year for 10 teachers (per padlet.com/site/subscriptions, checked 2026-10-29).
- Limitation
- The free plan caps you at 3 padlets. Padlet's help page notes AI recipes can make up facts and cap out around 20 posts, so check every generated post. Student accounts don't get AI recipes by default, and student posts on shared boards can include personal details, so set board privacy and moderation before sharing.
