Paste the lesson plan the AI gives you, check it, then print. It prints black on white with no menus or buttons, and the student handout starts on its own page.
Planning notes for this lesson
Prerequisite skills to check: multiplication and division facts within 100 (3.OA.C.7); finding area by counting unit squares and by multiplying side lengths (3.MD.C.7); perimeter of polygons, including finding an unknown side length (3.MD.D.8).
Warm-up idea: Sketch a 6 ft by 4 ft garden on grid paper. Ask: the family wants a fence around it and mulch to cover it. Which job needs perimeter and which needs area? Let students argue it out before anyone counts.
Exit ticket idea: Students find the perimeter and area of an 8 m by 5 m rectangle, find the width of an 8-foot-long rug that covers 48 square feet, and explain which measure a fence uses and which a carpet uses.
Always check the AI's plan and answers before you teach.
